A curated first edition.
This release covers a selected set of engines, optimization techniques, evaluation studies, and three commercial platforms. It is designed to grow into a comprehensive resource. It does not claim complete coverage of the field today.
The supplied research survey seeded the discovery process. Published profiles were checked against primary publication records or official documentation. The original survey remains in the repository as research input, not as independently verified site content.
Review standards
- Primary source reviewed: the publication record and abstract were checked for identity and the summarized contribution. This is not a full-paper audit or independent replication.
- Vendor documentation reviewed: official documentation supports the product description. It does not establish independent performance evidence.
- Reproduced: reserved for a future report with code, environment, data, and results that readers can inspect. No current profile carries this status.
Each profile has a source, review date, and caveat. Research years refer to the initial cited record; industry years refer to documentation review. Preprints can change. We avoid inferring peer review or venue acceptance from an arXiv listing.
Review dates identify when sources were checked. Quantitative comparisons require a documented experimental setup; unsupported comparisons are excluded.
Authorship and competing interests
Inclusion is not an endorsement. Research and vendor claims are kept distinct, and related-work lists should represent competing approaches fairly. Contributor-authored work is eligible under the same evidence rules as other work.
The bibliography includes papers coauthored by Oktie Hassanzadeh, including SemViews and Same Query, Different Answer. Readers should consider this authorship overlap when evaluating curation in this repository. Neither paper is presented as independently reproduced or ranked above competing work.
Privacy
The site has no accounts, advertising, analytics scripts, model calls, or tracking cookies. Search and comparison run in your browser. The hosting provider may process ordinary request logs. Following an external source takes you to that provider's site.
Contributions and corrections
Open an issue or pull request with the primary source, a proposed description, the relevant operator or system family, and any limitations. For corrections, identify the exact profile and explain what the source supports. Bibliographic additions are reviewed before publication.
